Many members of Jodee Prouse’s family have struggled with alcoholism.
Even as a young child growing up in the Red Deer area, Jodee witnessed the impact of alcohol abuse on the people around her, including her brother Brett.
Later in her life, she realized that she too had been affected, and started to share her story through public speaking and advocacy work.
Now, she has published a book, The Sun is Gone, it's a memoir where she shares her unique perspective on alcoholism and the shame and stigma that come with it.
