Dr. Louis Francescutti’s passion for public health led him to work with Canada’s military and earned him the Meritorious Service Medal, and he's still not done advocating as one of Canada's leading medical visionaries.
He is past-president of the Canadian Medical Association, past-president of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a university professor and an Edmonton emergency department physician.
As an Honorary Colonel, Dr. Francescutti works to connect the men and women of the military with the community as a whole. He also works to improve education around mental health, injury prevention and overall wellness within the military, priorities that are set by the leadership of the Canadian Forces.
