Expectations for what MLA Jason Kenney will bring to the Alberta Legislature

From long-time Member of Parliament to Leader of the Official Opposition in the Legislature, Jason Kenney is now officially an Alberta MLA.

The UCP leader was sworn-in by Lieutenant Governor Lois Mitchell Monday as Member for Calgary-Lougheed, the seat he won in last month’s provincial byelection.

In addressing a party function a short time later, Kenney called on Premier Notley to put a stop to the “anger machine”.

Prime Minister's town hall tour makes a stop in Alberta

Justin Trudeau’s town hall tour touches-down at MacEwan University in Edmonton Thursday evening.

This will be his sixth such meeting and he’s already faced pointed questions on ethical lapses, as well as heckling over the Omar Khadr payment.

if the PM can get past the heckling, he may just be able to steer the conversation back to the issues people want to talk about.
