In new research by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, it is reported that Canada has cut its emissions by 1.5 per cent since 2004, in comparison to five per cent by the OECD as a whole.
Of the emissions produced in Canada, Alberta is responsible for 40 per cent, and half of the total comes from the oil and gas industry and transport sector.

Simon Dyer, regional director for Alberta at the Pembina Institute, says now is a time for opportunity.
