Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada CTV Two Alberta reaches over 1 million viewers across the province every week.  With an afternoon and evening schedule dedicated to the best in talk and entertainment programming, CTV Two Alberta also devotes over sixty hours a week to non-commercial educational programming.

CTV Two Alberta is the designated educational broadcaster in Alberta, and as such has a long history of public service.  Officially launched as part of the Alberta Educational Communications Authority in 1973, and granted a broadcast license for Edmonton and Calgary in 1984, the station and license were privatized in 1995.  It was known for many years as ACCESS Network, ACCESS The Education Station or ACCESS Television.

Acquired in 2007 by CTV, the station was rebranded as CTV Two Alberta in 2011, but continues to contribute significantly to the educational fabric of the province.

Throughout the schedule all week long CTV Two Alberta broadcasts short informational videos about the things that make Alberta great—from our Alberta Order of Excellence and Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards Recipients, to profiles of careers and Alberta companies, to rural sustainability initiatives and learning opportunities—we cover the province and continuously inform and educate.

CTV Two Alberta also produces and broadcasts Alberta Primetime, the award-winning and unique current affairs program dedicated every day to an in-depth look at Alberta’s people, places, issues and events.
