It’s been a busy 12 months for Dawn Marie Marchand, a year spent shaping the role of Indigenous Artist in Residence for the City of Edmonton.
The visual artist, author and educator was the first to fill the position, researching the region’s diverse Indigenous history and building an extensive body of artwork.
Now, with the tenure coming to a close, Marchand can step back and reflect on the experience.
