From officiating to mentoring and volunteering, Tom Daly has dedicated his life to the world of boxing. Tom Daly got his first taste of the sport at the age of 23 as an amateur boxer in Ireland. He later moved to Toronto where he started coaching and later began officiating in 1973. In 1980, he moved to Alberta and became an active member of Boxing Alberta where he held many positions including president, chief official and director. Now, his primary role is to mentor the development of junior officials in Boxing Alberta. Tom Daly was recently inducted into this year’s Boxing Canada Hall of Fame for his many contributions in the boxing industry.
