When you think of electric cars, Tesla and other manufacturers likely come to mind first, but if you live around Sherwood Park, Alberta you may think of The Lithium Hawk.

The three wheeled electric bike was built by inventor Nap Pepin with his own two hands. Pepin has been making vehicles since he was 11 years old with his focus now on electric cars. It started when he built the Lithium Bug-E, an electric vehicle kit. He decided to make a vehicle that was even bigger, heavier and more advanced. The end result was The Lithium Hawk.

The vehicle uses leading edge technology. Pepin says the batteries have a better life cycle than those the manufacturers use.

Don’t expect this inventor to build another electric car in the future, though. He says there are too many other electric vehicles on market or ones about to be released, so The Lithium Hawk truly is a unique ride.
