Mark Kelly is a retired American astronaut, engineer and United States Navy Captain.  He flew in combat missions, piloted and commanded the space shuttles Endeavor and Discovery, visited the International Space Station four times, and is a best-selling author.  On October 19, he and his brother Scott Kelly will deliver the keynote address at the 2018 Jasper Dark Sky Festival.  He joined Michael Higgins to discuss his trailblazing career, the importance of space exploration for all of humankind, the groundbreaking Twin Study and the impact it could have on future space travel, and his advocacy work here on earth alongside his wife, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.   The Jasper Dark Sky Festival is October 12 to 21, 2018.
