Adorado Nino is a rescue farm and sanctuary, adopting Alberta’s unwanted horses and helping to find them new homes.
Founder Tracy Benkendort started buying horses at auction in 2010.
She brought home a mare named Peaches and later discovered she had been separated from her foal. She worked to reunite them and was inspired to continue to help Alberta’s unwanted horses, and keep them from slaughter.
Today, Adorado Nino has grown into a sanctuary where people can learn to appreciate horses for more than something to use.
