The Alberta government has upped the ante on its battle over bitumen with British Columbia. Effective immediately, it's banning BC wine from crossing into our borders.

Now BC wine producers are caught in the cross fires of a bitter trade spat between the two provinces. Premier Rachel Notley is calling on a boycott on all BC wines, escalating the feud over the Trans Mountain pipeline.

Last week, the BC government proposed to restrict the flow of Alberta bitumen through the province, casting doubt on the pipeline's future.

Notley is calling on that province to back down. BC's premier is urging Alberta to give in.

How will the fight over pipelines and wine play out? Which province will win this trade war? And at what cost?
