A black bear has been left to fend for itself west of Calgary while healing an injured leg. People in the area have named him Russell and would like to help, but the law states that injured animals cannot be rescued from the wild. Alberta liberal MLA David Swann plans to introduce a petition to the legislature to have the policy changed.  Online, nearly 18 thousand people have already signed the petition for the rules to change. Do humans have a responsibility to help wildlife, or should we let nature take its course?  Shawna speaks with Clio Smeeton, President of the Cochrane Ecological Society, which has said it would take Russell in, if allowed.
