Experts say the best way seniors can prevent falling is by maintaining strength by staying active, renewing a reviewing medications frequently, and going for regular eye exams.

But falls continue to occur, and traumatic brain injuries pose a serious threat to those at risk, and can lead to difficulty thinking, attention deficits, mood swings, and even limited mobility and comatose states in more severe cases.

Dr. Don Voaklander of the Injury Prevention Centre warns about the  harmful risks of traumatic brain injuries that can come as a result of an accidental fall and says that a bit of prevention can help prevent falls in your community.
